I have been a professional photographer for 21 years. I began with a BA Hons Degree at Trent Polytechnic, after which I trained as a press photographer on the highly respected NCTJ photojournalism course and later went on to work for The Lancashire Evening Post. I am now freelance and my current clients include The Financial Mail on Sunday, The Sunday Times, Cancer Research UK and British Energy.
Whenever possible, I like to sit down with clients before assignments to get a solid understanding of their needs. For a PR company, for example, this could mean the difference between seeing their story as a few short sentences buried at the back of a newspaper to turning it into a page lead.
My work is diverse. One day I can be dealing with a property developer, the next a couple getting married who want their wedding pictures to be that little bit special. I regularly undertake commisions lasting from half an hour to two-weeks. I am very flexible in both style & charges.
All work includes unlimited usage and I also now have a half-hour attendance charge.
